
Supporting young people through life’s most important transitions, the Mind-Life Youth Initiative (MLYI) connects students with mentoring, wellbeing support, leadership opportunities and real pathways to help them confidently navigate their mind-life journey.

The Mind-Life Youth Initiative (MLYI) is a two-year early intervention youth wellbeing initiative delivered by Bridges Health & Community Care. The initiative supports young people across four Bundaberg schools, focusing on Year 6 to 7 and Year 12 transition periods. MLYI provides mentoring, service navigation, referral pathways, transition planning, and connection to external mental health and community supports.
The program also includes youth leadership and co-design opportunities, where young people with lived experience help shape youth mental health resources and services. MLYI works collaboratively with schools, families, wellbeing staff, and community providers to improve engagement, wellbeing, and transition outcomes for young people navigate their mind-life journey.
